Chickens!

This past Spring we got some chickens, they were so cute as fuzzy chicks!

Rich and the kids built a chicken coop. And now our girls are all grown up

This is their first eggs, we were so exicited. We think that only one or two our laying because we are only getting one a day, but come this Christmas we should be getting a lot more :)

Rally for Yes on Prop 8

Lisa with Khristine Pettingill and Lizzy @ Prop 8 rally in Sacramento, CA, October 20th
They had a large crowd and good speachers, they came on the "I Do" Bus
It is so important to save marriage for our children and our children's children

Here I am holding on of the signs, if this doesn't pass out freedom maybe taken away. So be sure to vote YES on 8!

Camping with the Pettingills

The fisrt week of July we went camping at Bodoga Bay with our good friends the Pettingill family. It was damp and foggy at our camp site so we went to the Russian River to get in the sun. here is Bekah, Lizzy, Beth, Jeffery, Jacob and Savanah sitting in the foreground.
The coast was rocky but wild with lots of rocks, one day we went to the tide pools to check out the wild life. We got to celerebrate Tre's birthday on our camping trip as well.

Here we are on another part of the Russain River on the 4th of July. That night we went and had Pizza and then watched fireworks in the town of Poloma. It was a great trip!

In rememberance of President Hinckley

Prophetic Passing

I imagine he's running to Marjorie now,
Yes, running, not waving his cane.

I see him embracing his father and mother
While they keep repeating his name.

I see him now meeting his fore bearers,
Brother Brigham and Joseph are there.

Sweet reunion of prophets, united by service
That only such noble men share.

I see him embraced by the Savior
While Father says, "Good and well done.

So faithful in stalwart endurance, I welcome
My noble, most excellent son."

I then hear the ripples of laughter
As he says the reception's just fine,
But he hopes that he'll get an assignment or two
Since there's no need to waste any time.

I can hear his clear voice in the stillness
At the close of this sweet Sabbath day,
Have faith and move forward — there's work to be done.
President Hinckley would want it that way.
